I have been a member at many gyms and by far this is one of the best out there! The atmosphere is so positive and motivating, thanks to the wonderful instructors and members. The instructors are always able to adapt any movement in a class or in your own personal program to ensure your fitness goals can be reached. They always ensure that you are doing the movements properly. The cardio classes burn tons of calories, and are suitable for any level of fitness. The facilities and equipment are state of the art. I could not imagine a better place to train! Thank you!
Amazing place to work on your fitness, overall health, and correcting any discomfort/injuries you deal with on a daily basis. Whether it's correcting something that is caused by repetitive motions (working at a computer), an injury that happened competing, or a natural tendency in your movements that needs correcting, you cannot compare the attention that goes into technical aspects of your training at SPORT Specialists Inc. When it comes to individual programs and classes, the instructors are attentive to your movements and correct them if there is need to do so. You won't injure yourself doing any exercises because they are there to guide you, even if you haven't set up an appointment or if you are one of many in a class they will take the time to give you advice and try correcting the pain by doing showing you stretches or modifying the exercise.
Melanie Scrase is the best athletic therapist in the city of Montreal, bar none. She has fixed lots of stuff on my ageing body over the years, most recently a torn quad tendon that was in a brace/splint for three months after surgery. Her husband Peter is exceptional as well, as is the rest of the team.
I originally went to The Sports Specialists to help heal my ankle after a bad break and then again after a hurt shoulder (both sports related accidents), and Mel & Peter "fixed" me so well that I started calling them both Doc! Recently I decided to give their gym a shot, and I will never look back. They have given me an amazing personalized program and always make sure I do it with proper form for optional health and results, and even their classes are the best I have ever taken (and I have taken A LOT of classes!) Thanks Mel Peter & your fantastic staff, I have found my second home
Been here for multiple reasons from pre-surgery strengthening, random injury treatment and maintenance and for rehab after surgery (dislocated shoulders and torn ACL) I've only worked with the owner Peter Levidis who is an amazing human being. You really feel like her cares about you and your recovery and he really knows his stuff! Staff is also great can't say one bad thing about this place!
